April 2022 Board Election Results

The April 2022 Board election is complete.Voting invitation was sent by email to all Full and Life Members for a total of 381 possible voters. 91 members cast votes for the election of these BOD positions. 24% voter response.

For Political Director

Matt Santonastaso – 80 votes  (89.89%)
None of the Above – 7 votes
Various Write-ins – 3 votes

For Membership Director

Larry Borland – 82 votes (92.13%)
None of these options – 5 votes
Various Write-in – 2 votes

For IT Director

Andrew Prout – 84 votes (95.45%)
None of these options – 2 votes
Various Write-in – 2 votes

Regrettably, although Mr. Prout had accepted the nomination for IT Director prior to having his name appear on the ballot (in accordance with normal board practice),  he has declined the position.

Therefore the IT Director position is OPEN. If you would like to be considered for this position,  please contact the Board at board@nhliberty.org

April 2021 Board Election Results

The dust has settled and the April 2021 Board election is complete. We are pleased to announce our incoming Board members are Mo Rice as Secretary and Larry Borland as Membership Director. Each ran uncontested and won their seats with ample margins of 72% and 96%, respectively. Both are active members of NHLA and have great enthusiasm for liberty. We look forward to their ideas and leadership!

The election was conducted with approval voting. Of 100 respondents:

2. Membership Director:

a) Larry Borland – 96 votes

The Board would like to express its sincere appreciation to its outgoing members:


• Secretary, Jaime Prout, who – along with her shrewd input on matters before the Board – was diligent in her mission of keeping the membership up to date on the happenings within the organization.
• Membership Director, Angela Harris, who took her role as token extrovert seriously and brought the NHLA to its first-ever gun show, bringing awareness of its mission to a larger audience.
• Chair, Holly Beene, who rolled up her sleeves and took on the role with gusto, bringing new ideas and renewed energy to the organization. Her dedication has been an inspiration and has kept NHLA moving forward, especially over the past year.
Please join us as we wish them all the best in their coming endeavors. We look forward to their continued involvement.

November 2020 Board Election Results

The November 2020 NHLA Board of Directors election is over and the results have been counted — correctly! The board welcomes its newest member, incoming Research Director Jeremy Downing, who won his seat with 92% of the vote. Jeremy has a keen understanding of liberty and is expected to be a notable asset to the board. We are excited for his involvement!

The election was conducted with approval voting. Of 111 respondents:

The Board would like to express our deepest gratitude to Jeffrey Creem, outgoing Research Director, for his tireless dedication to his position and to liberty in New Hampshire as a whole. The NHLA has been incredibly fortunate to have an activist like Jeff in one of its most critical roles, not only for his reasoned and detailed analysis of legislation, his principled fairness, and his unassuming leadership, but also for bringing levity to what is often a very serious Gold Standard with such gems as “A penalty of felony ventriloquism has no place in a free society.” We look forward to his continued participation.

April 2020 Board Election Results

The April 2020 Board election is over and the results are in! The newest members of the board are incoming IT Director, Harrison De Bree and Political Director, Hershel Nunez. They each handily won their seats with 93% and 97% of the votes, respectively. Both are active members of NHLA and have great enthusiasm for liberty. We are excited for what their involvement will bring to the organization!

Congratulations also go out to Angela Harris, who is returning for her second term as Membership Director after receiving 98% of the vote. We look forward to the upcoming term and thank the candidates for volunteering.

We extend our deepest thanks and appreciation to outgoing IT Director, Louis Calitz, whose dedication to the NHLA infrastructure over the past four years is equaled only by his dedication to liberty. We are hopeful that he remains an active part of the organization. Many thanks, as well, to outgoing Political Director, Michael Costable. While his tenure was short, his enthusiasm was great. We are very grateful for his time and hope he considers running again in the future.

April 2019 Board Election Results

The results of the April 2019 Board of Directors election are in!  The newest member of the Board is incoming Chair, Holly Beene Seal, who handily won her seat with 90% of the vote. Holly has been a prolific member of the Bill Review team and has been an active participant at Board meetings. We are excited for what her future involvement will bring!

Congratulations are also in order for Jaime Prout, who is returning for her second term as Secretary after receiving 97% of the vote. One of Jaime’s duties is to make sure we all stay informed about the up-to-date happenings at NHLA, and we are pleased to have her continue in that role.

The Board would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to Keith Ammon, outgoing Chair, for all he has brought to the organization. To say that Keith has been a dedicated member of the Board is a vast understatement, and his many contributions as a leader and activist have been instrumental in keeping the NHLA at the forefront of the fight for liberty in New Hampshire. We look forward to his continued participation.
